Research Officer

The Research Officer is responsible for providing a thorough analysis and assessment of industry trends and prospects to aid in the evaluation of credit risks as well as available lending opportunities for the Bank.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepares industry reports, on a regular basis, to support the strategic planning efforts of the Bank and its different business units, which includes a thorough analysis of industry trends and development; identification of emerging business opportunities and threats in the different industries; and monitoring and assessment of the impact of key policy developments / issues at the micro level.
• Assists the Team Head in updating the industry reports, forecasts and news updates published in the internal industry database.
• Assists the Team Head in responding to industry-specific policy queries and data requirements of Credit Officers and Relationship Managers.
• Releases updated industry reports, economic updates and news reports to various stakeholders in the Bank.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration and other related fields
